I certainly feel your angst and frustration and wish you the best of luck!

Mixed message here. Comparing his reaction to that of a five year old isn't helpful or necassary. Why bother with the closing line of feeling his angst and frustration. It doesn't sound like you do.

Have the jackets pressed and discuss your concerns with Chan. If you don't care for the process, the waiting, the adjusting and so on, explore other alternatives.

No plastic bag - cardboard box, neatly folded (much better than my first jacket), wrapped in soft paper, and the suit was left to hang for a few days. The wrinkles and ripples fell out from most of the jacket (chest, back, arms) but remained in the problem areas shown by the two photos. Which is why I suspect that bluscuro is correct. Like I said, I'm going to have it pressed by my tailor - I want this suit to work, and I want Chan to be a good available solution.

There are reasonable expectations and unreasonable expectations when one choses to go the bespoke route. I was willing to put up with fit issues and have multiple jackets made to get it right because of the price, but Chan isn't bargain basement - what's concerning is that there was no difference in fit between the first jacket and the 2nd jacket. Even after Patrick took the jacket back to correct the fit issues, it still wasn't right. Then on top of that there is a potential construction issue. This doesn't fall within reasonable expectations when going custom.
