I want a new cell. I use cellphones as phones, and I generally don't care what else it can do. However, the one thing I do want but can't quite seem to find is a phone that can accept two numbers.
Right now I carry a cell that is always on Vibe and Ring, always, and I've given the number to three people on the planet. If one of those people are calling me, I need to know and I'll probably not be doing what I was doing when it rang. It's really annoying that I can't set the phone to Vibrate, set distinctive audible rings for the three important numbers, and let the wrong numbers vibrate, but once you set the phone to vibrate, it ignores distinctive ring.
I'd like to reserve that emergency ability and have another number that I can give out and use like people do. Back in the early '90s, I had a dualNAM phone with two numbers, but you had to switch back and forth. That would be fine, but not as good as having two active numbers. Set the one to silent, the other to Vibe and I'd be set. Can't seem to find this. Any ideas? I'd probably give over the idea before I got two cells, btw.
