1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Manton - is that one of ed's new ties? Looks thick!

Another UCBD for me today. B[IMG]ring

looks good though. I like the scaling of the dots on the tie - most of my spotted ties have spots on the large side or small and a bit close.

It is a bit thick. I like the width but the knot is a bit large. I think I will take it to Tiecrafters and see if they can give it more of a "bottle" shape to thin out the knot a bit.

    Today's attempt.

New suit arrived in the post yesterday, so I decided to give it a spin (I probably should have left it to hang for a little longer but it isn't creased looking in real life, despite what the photo's appear to show - I guess it's the light fabric). Fabric is Super 130's from Vitale Barberis Canonico (whoever they are), half-canvased, horn-buttons, and the important ticket-pocket [IMG]. Nothing special by forum standards, but I'm pretty happy with the fit for unaltered RTW (it's no worse than my semi-disasterous attempts at MTM, and much cheaper).

Sans tie clip today as I don't like it with this tie as it falls right on the stripe in the tie [IMG]

I have a dove gray cashmere that I got from edmorel, pre-Panta. Can't remember the brand but it was an Italian one I did not recognize. Nice tie.

Thanks - it's a cashmere Isaia actually...sourced from one of Ed's closet sales.

I'm not sure about the tan shoes with the suit, but I like the choice of tie.
