Here's a close up. Not sure what the weave is.

Really like that tie, Parker. Right up my alley.

Congratulations on what? The concert? The bling?
The bling. Always the bling. [IMG] That one of the Drakes striped grenadines, Parker? I liked those ties in theory, but couldn't figure out what I'd ever wear them with. Nice choice. (edit: looking at the close-up, I see it's not... point still remains though, nice use of a tricky tie.)

The key is that he makes it look super effortless. Parker FTW.

Parker -- who made your suit? The rear collar looks toned down compared to your other jackets.

Sort of CBD. Manton will not like this tie. From a distance, the colors appear much more muted than the photos indicate, despite the neon ink used. Sleeves may need 1/4" shortening.

sleeves don't need shortening, just your shirt sleeves should be a bit longer.

Almost CBD. Patch pockets on lightweight flannel suit. I haven't yet got the hang of the colorful pocket squares, so I usually default to white.

I remember you having a lightweight flannel from Chan with patch pockets, but I thought that one had one button. Did you get another from Mina with 3 buttons?

...suede captoes - first oldog, now you. Are yours C&J?
Yep, C&J Westfield. Suede captoe is essential. Also, comfy.

Thx HF, it's from Drakes, via The Armoury. It's a very fine grenadine weave (I think). I've worn it with a corduroy and hopsack, anything kinda rough.

This suit is from Chan. I also have a 1-button in a heavier flannel from Chan. Both have patch pockets -- something I would not have done now that I've learned a little more about 'the rules' and settled into my style preferences. But, I have them, so I wear them. Yeah, Mina makes a different shaped collar. It's a little more voluptuous. [IMG]

Ah-ha. I thought I read something on this thread from Manton about patch pockets being a no-no with flannel but had a hard time relocating that thread. I would appreciate more of a discussion on this as I was considering having some light gray flannel made up as a SB with patch pockets for a more casual suit. I'm interested in the "rules" on patch pockets and flannel. I have seen manton post patch pockets with cloth other than flannel on CBD, so the patch pockets must not be the problem. Thx.

I could be mistaken, but I think that is what they refer to as the Crystal Weave at Drakes.

I like all the pieces seperately but it's a little busy. I think you need to swap out one pattern for a solid.
