MrFarnon,

Kinda both. If I tug on the sleeves and relax my arms at my sides, they look clean. However, because the sleeves are so narrow (a feature I regret on this suit, both in terms of style and fit), it doesn't take much moving around for them to get caught on the shirt sleeves or cuffs and look rumpled. Nor does it take much arm movement away from the relaxed position for them to crease hard at the elbows.

The cut's probably keeping this one from qualifying. Jacket front's too open. Is it truly that bright too? I'd say you can do color or fit, not both.

The whole outfit is very lean and fitted - arguably a little too much - so the pebblegrain bluchers with an awkward squarish toe just don't really seem to jibe with that. A sleek monk or chiseled toe oxford would have been less surprising.

Flash and upping the exposure to make the subtleties of the herringbone show probably brightened it up a little artificially, though not exaggeratedly so. It's a mid-dark navy. I also forgot to turn off a lamp that was just to my left, which casts a very yellow light from that side.

Agreed. It's from a few years back, when both my tastes and frame could handle it better.

Yes.

Not in love with the square either but the rest is good.

There is a funny wrinkle on your tie just south of the dimple.

I like thetie color and fabric pairing; is it birdseye or nailhead? Lovely.

Monday: big argument, so grey nailhead, blue hairline shirt and navy grenadine tie:

Wednesday: back home after traveling Tuesday, grey herringbone suit, white shirt, blue tie, but pink socks

Thursday: grey suit, blue shirt, blue tie (with a shadow stripe so Manton will hate it)

Need to have these pants shortened.

First outfit is great.

Second tie is a little blah, airport gift shop Tie Rack vibe.

Third tie is a bit gimmicky but OK.

I am an advocate of more liveliness in socks but let's not go nuts people.

Indeed. I just received it in the mail yesterday, and it was folded with the face of the tie inside. I rolled it last night, and hoped that it would fall out over the course of the day today. More intervention may be necessary, though.
