Wanted to pick these up too but was nervous about the 4% elastane. Do you normally go for all natural materials, if so, how did you feel about purchasing a pair with synthetics?
Yes, I’m also a natural material guy. They seem to be putting elastane in everything these days so it’s hard to avoid. If you tug on the fabric you’ll notice the stretch, but I don’t notice it when I’m wearing them. As you can see in my photos, I have them tailored to a ‘loose’ or ‘traditional’ fit. If they were slim fit, I’m guessing I would feel the stretch as I moved.

I’m no fabric expert, but I wonder if the elastane contributes to the ‘silky’ feel @Camillo and I noticed.

That’s what I thought when I opened the box, but no, they’re taupe. I even contacted Cavour to confirm.
Cavour really needs to fix their lighting then, I had similar experience buying flannels - the grey ones looked actually like the dark grey. I might buy chocolate whipcords just to see how they actually look like.

All shirts are made in the same place.
Classic - Basic machine made, smaller collars.
Premium - Fancier machine made, larger collars.
Sartoria - Handmade (Essentially a Black Line shirt)

However, we will switch to a new maker for FW25.
Any changes with the new maker? Last time you switched from Italy to India it came with a lot of design changes - no more shirring and handmade button holes

The new ones have hand made buttonholes, buttons attached by hand, Shoulders (No shirring), Collar, Cuffs and side gusset done by hand.

Any changes to fit? Quite happy with the new models this year, which is significantly longer than last years iirc.

Do you have any jackets or suits in US sizes 48 or 50 (IT sizes 58 and 60) for spring/summer? I’m not sure how feasible it is for your business to carry larger sizes, but if you're targeting the U.S. market, it would make sense to offer options that accommodate a wider range of customers.

Not yet, but it is on the to-do list for the future. We are not specifically targeting the U.S. market yet, but it is a growing market for us for sure.

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
