Loden wool, woven in Tirol for centuries, is known for its resistance to cold and wetness. Our project in collaboration with Epaulet introduces Alpine Loden, a modern 18oz fabric blend of 75% merino wool and 25% nylon, woven in Italy. It's lighter, more durable, wind-resistant, and more comfortable than traditional Loden fabric. Partnering with Rochester Tailored Clothing, we offer custom garments like sportcoats, suits, and overcoats, made to your specifications. Learn more about the Loden collection here.

Cross-post from WAYWRN. A Cavour Mod 2 in Fox flannel from F/W 2020 that I’m never relinquishing, slightly too long or not. One of the best suits I’ve ever owned…

Got a few size 48 Cavour jackets I’m passing on because of the length 🥲 DM if interested. Happy to negotiate terms especially for multi-buys.

Does anyone know who makes the new Twist fabric? I’m thinking of buying the grey as an odd trouser. I have the previous in fresco which was very nice so curious if this new twist fabric is comparable? How is the dark grey as an odd trouser?

No idea who makes the fabric. I think I saw somewhere that it's similar to Crispaire, so can be Holland & Sherry 🤷
Also, dark grey is a perfect choice for an odd trousers

Wondering if the 240g high twist in light grey is better although I do like a heavier weight?

Just got the light grey summer high twist trouser in Mod 3 and the Mod 2 mock leno jacket. The trouser fabric is really smooth, much smoother than something like Ascot four-ply. Drapes well, but has less body, obviously.

Thanks for sharing. It does feel like the smoothness makes this a little less versatile than something more textured like a fresco?

I have never had fresco trousers, but I meant the hand feel. I think it has plenty of texture and works great as an odd trouser.

Honestly, we need more Fox Flannel Suits and Fox Tweed jackets.
Happily paying 100€ more for those fabrics.
Would also be quite unique to Cavour...
Then you are going to like how Robin and I spent our time in Florence during Pitti Uomo... Keep an eye out for our FW 2025 collection!

(But it will be more than 100€ + on the price, Fox fabrics cost about 3 times more pr meter than similar things from VBC)
