I was curious about the old and new fit side by side as well... This is a rough comparison, scaled as close as I could.

Last season (old fit) on left, current season (new fit) on right.

A little extra length, slightly lower buttoning point are apparent (if you trust my image). Looks like the lapels are the same, can see the shoulder has been reduced. Looks like quarters are maybe slightly more open/raked on the new fit?

I dont have any pictures at hand apart from the ones in the online shop.

Which size and brands do you usually go for when sending your money abroad?
I have been supporting spier and Mackay and need a us40/EU 50L. Their long jackets are 79 cm long. I will try your model 2 in 52 the next time I am in Oslo. It is 77 cm and can probably work.

Yeah I‘m also one of the guys that needs and prefers long sizes. I wear a 54L in Ring Jacket, 54 in The Armoury Model 3.

Sometimes that additional cm makes all the difference - but that also depends on the general cut of the jacket, of course.

Spier and Mackay seems to be quite popular.
Swing by the store, and we´ll have a look at it. And wear your SM jacket so that I can see what it is like. :)

It does vary quite a lot.
I remember Giuseppe Attolini once told one of our customers during a trunkshow: "On a jacket centimeters can be like kilometers."

@kevinsvindland, can you speak to the sizing on the Drake's shawl collar cardigans? I have one in size 42, but the Cavour website lists them as M, L, XL, etc. Any idea what would be considered equivalent to size 42?

Hi,

A 42 would be a large, I guess.
The packing list says S,M,L and so on..
Fits fairly true to size I would say.

Thanks. Are you able to look on the underside of the Drake's tag (that's usually where the size is listed), just to confirm?

Not at the moment, no.. Weekend off, so the only tag I plan to inspect is the one that says Brunello di Montalcino.

But I just texted Fredrik at Drakes to check.

Haha, fair enough!

And that's great—I'll wait to hear what Fredrik says before placing my order!

Will let you know as soon as I get an answer.:)
Sounds good. FWIW, a British vendor (A Hume), provides the following size breakdown on William Lockie's Windsor shawl cardigan, which are the same cardigans that Drake uses/sells. Looks like they are saying a Medium is equivalent to size 42, Large equivalent to size 44, etc.

42 equals a Large, Fredrik just answered.

And the Drakes model is not the exact same one as the above. The differences may be minor, but yet they make the Drakes model exclusive to them.

One of the new styles this season is our Belted Raglan Overcoat. 100% Cashmere from the Storm System family of Loro Piana. Cashmere obviously means it is very soft, and Storm System means it is also water resistant!
