I found tux jacket at the local thrift. Really nice J Press and felt bad leaving it, BUT have no clue how to wear it out as the pants were no where to be found. 1 Button, Peak Lapel (satin), unvented. Any pictures or suggestions of how to rock this [IMG]

    Thanks!

Any chance you could find separate tuxedo trousers that would harmonize with it (e.g., JAB separates) well enough to comprise a real-deal functional tux?

Yes there are great deals at thrift stores on suits, a man buys or has made a new suit wears it once or twice and it ends up at the thrift store. Which leads me to this question I have a Ratner suit jacket (dark gray pinstripe) very nice, I no longer have the matching pants can this jacked be worn with other pants?

No one should be wearing mismatched tuxedo pants/jacket to black tie events. People will be able to tell. There is a reason these items are in a thrift store and haven't sold at $10.

If you feel like using the jacket somewhere else ( someone suggested out to a club, im assuming as a joke) then I guess you should go for it, if you think you can pull it off.

I assumed you were joking because you mentioned having 16 buttons undone. I suppose it could work if you have the confidence to pull it off.
