Hey guys, I'm just started taking the fashion seriously, I'm usually wore a plaid shirts over graphic t-shirt, and some girl told me that I look like a good looking stoner and need step-up my fashion game, I started liking the clothing from J-Crew as they seem to have quality stuff without logos and reasonable prices, I even found a much cheaper prices on ebay. I was thinking wearing this jacket http://www.ebay.com/itm/222508184492?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649 with beige chinos and a blue merino wool sweater like that one http://www.ebay.com/itm/222507266321?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649 and maybe white washer shirt, what you guys think...

General rule of thumb is to wear a sport coat or jacket that doesn't clash NOR match the shirt. Denim shirt with blue jacket is just too close.

Notice how the picture shows the man with a creame shirt...this is nice. Pink also works. White works...heck, muted orange would also work.

With the color of that jacket, I would stay away from the blue world.

Oh...can't go wrong with beige chinos

That would work too.

Have you done research on some style rules and do's and don't's? I ask because you are looking to pair a bold color shirt with muted pants. Just sayin'

Do you live Down Under? If not, a corduroy jacket and merino sweater would not see much use north of the equator until next winter.
