The other day I watched "Die Another Day" with Brosnan on DVD (I haven't bothered to go to cinema for Bond movies for years), and I found it horrible, a really really bad plot and no class at all. I cannot understand how a supposed "classy" brand like Brioni wants to be messed up with such cheap stuff (or was Casino Royale different from the Brosnan style?)

Casino Royale is nowhere near Die Another Day. CR is a real film while DAD is a parody IMO. They aren't even comparable. Go see CR, you won't be dissappointed (I hope

I agree. Vastly different movies. CR vastly superior IMO.

I agree, DAD should be called DUD instead, because that's exactly what it was.

Maybe I should give Bond a chance again, then. However, I really wonder how Daniel Craig will fit into the Bond paper, as I understand it (I grew up with the Bond books -there was no cinema in my Swedish village- and later I got familiarised with Bond by Connery and Moore); for me, Daniel Craig is a type that would rather fit into the character of some cockney criminal, but maybe its just because I think I first saw him in this movie called Organised Crime or something like that.
Well, I'll ask my wife about going to cinema to see CR, but I doubt she will because she never liked action movies and after I forced her to see DAD on the DVD, she has some real big doubts about my movie choosing capabilities...

CR follows the book quite well, with some added action scenes as there are not many of these in the book. Otherwise it is a faithful adaption. Half the movie has quite much action, and the other half is mostly a poker game and a love story, so I think your wife will like it as well

Not only do I want is tux,
But I'd like his Aston Martin DBS
and the beautiful Eva Green along with it.

Whatever fabric she wears...100% or not, any manufacturer will look hot

I think that in the book, the game was baccarat.
I do not know if a love story is enough for my wife (neither do I think that the presence of the Aston Martin and Eva Green will be persuasive). Now, tell me that there are some nice dogs in the movie, that might make her want to go.

Hehe, true. But it doesn't distract too much, Poker is a bigger game these day and more realistic having the high stakes depicted.

Sorry, no dogs in any major role

LOL.
Also for the next JB film: Bond, when approached by the overweight villain:
"Hey, where did you get your suit from? Laaaaardiiiiini?"

They really should have marketed Craig's sex appeal more if she's still not wanting to go. Just tell her that he has a lot of shirtless scenes.

I think I'd better not. I do not want my wife to associate my sudden interest in Bond films with the fact that there are a lot of scenes with sexy shirtless men in slimfitting bathing suits...

That shouldnt be that hard, given the fact that IMO DAD was a bad ComputerGeneratedImages joke.

Quote of the Year: "There are dinner jackets and there are dinner jackets." Oh. My.

Love the grey peaked SB, would've wanted to see more of the 3pc, as has been said. Also liked the linen shirt with epaulettes (epaulette freak here).
