As I said, I'm very fond of this new knit in heavy, chunky cashmere by Drumohr.

EU50 size, 54cm chest width. Not best lighting and colours, the beige tone is warmer, more camel.

Do any of you know what the “Cashmere by pringle” labels mean ? Is this the Pringle of Scotland range dedicated to Kashmir ? These are vintage labels.
Thanks

Pringle was a great Scottish brand and, as many others, did also produce for a particular store or boutique. This should be your case. Maybe you could post some pictures.

Unfortunately, Pringle is a pale shadow today of what it was.

This makes sense. I have a preference for William Lockie by plain knit pieces because of those lovely drop-stitches along all the seams. But I would attest Johnstons of Elgin more variety of styles.

And, as you know, I'm the President of of the Private White Submariner fan club.

FTFY!!!

(We are all envious...)

do you feel some tension on your left shoulder compared to your right when you wear this? You can probably feel the difference if its more a tight fit and not lose fit
Can you post the under of both shoulders of the knit?

No different tension detected.

Hello, thanks for you for your response, I put a photo similar to the one I have. For me it's an 80s label from Pringle's cashmere range. What do you think ?
Many thanks

Not an expert on vintage, but it's clearly authentic and from Pringle. Also Ballantynes has used a lot of different label iterations.

Is Lockie the maker that produces the most tightly knit (including hems and ribbing) cashmere garments that feel the least “delicate” and most durable? I’m looking for something quite thick that doesn’t feel delicate and like it can be treated more as a workhorse luxury garment for a jumper, and yet is still 100% cashmere

It looks nice and very neatly made. It's clearly a piece for layering, so being more snug could be advantageous.
Yes I quite like the shorter body and snug neck.

It's certainly not as soft as cashmere, and especially different when compared to my most recent kid cashmere turtleneck from Colombo, but it's finer than most lambswool sweaters from the Scottish brands.

I think for $180 it's a good deal (closer to $100 if you're able to buy in Japan), but the sleeves might be too short for some as the fit is probably aimed for Asian proportions.

Since its merino wool, it should be more finer than your lambswool sweaters, and helps since its turtleneck and helps for the skin.
I cannot wear lambswool as turtleneck

Any recommendations for a reasonably priced ecru long sleeve knit polo? Thanks in advance.
