Has someone bought anything from Drumohr recently? I bought a very fine cashmere rollneck in the Turin shop (the Scottish makers don’t do this lightweight pieces) and I was able to have a look at their collection. Some solid stuff at a more affordable prices than Loro Piana and Fedeli.

I’ve got half a dozen or so pieces from them, all bought over the past four years, and they’re as good as it gets so far. Whether that’s heavy merino cardigans, lightweight cashmere jumpers or light weight merino ones

Sure the trims could be nicer but if that’s important, they can easily be replaced by eg your buttons of choice

Anyone know where I can get a pale mint green cashmere jumper? Preferably lighter in weight if possible. Have always found the idea of that appealing

edit: I would also be interested in a very pale lavender that looks almost light grey in certain lights. Not sure what to call the colour.

Inis Meain had linen crewneck sweaters in light green some time back, but not sure if they still have that color. Not a very common color from what I've seen from other makers.

Is melange an option for pale green? LP has one that looks really nice:
Otherwise if you can fit in really large women's size:

Barrie has lilac, but not really the greyish shade you are looking for I guess:

Possibly not pale enough, but the Verdant of Rubato is a lovely shade.

How do you consider alpaca in comparison with cashmere or wool?
I guess we want to talk apples to apples, because there are so many classifications for each, especially wool...but comparing a mid level alpaca, we call it baby (or others call it super fine) alpaca is a good cheaper alternative to pure cashmere entry level Grade A. In general only the top royal alpaca comes down under 20µ and it feels like cashmere and its ok for those with some kind of skin sensibility
Baby/Royal Alpaca are warmer compared to wool but for example a great merino wool is more sturdier but also thinner so it can be worn in summer days.Alpaca for some reason is more resistance to stains.
Alpaca has hollow fibres so is also hypoallergenic. If you want that fine ,shine/silky look Alpaca will not offer this, merino, gift of kings LP wool, cashmere+silk or super fine cashmere at some degree offers this

Oliver Charles offers this color in yak. Worth a look.

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
