The Milan boutique has quite good customer service through WhatsApp. They can provide information about what is available in the boutique.
Totally. The last times I tried they only had kid cashmere though. I probably would need to try contacting their other boutiques.

Just curious, why do you prefer cashmere compared to kid cashmere?
I don't necessarily prefer one to the other. Judging from some of Johnny's pics in this thread, they seem to have a wider range of styles and colours in normal cashmere. Don't get me wrong, I thoroughly enjoy my kid cashmere sweaters, but cashmere suffices for me softness-wise. Also, I just want to try it out since I only now kid by Colombo and I'm very happy with their fit. After their last price increases, I figured normal cashmere might be a bit more affordable as well in comparison.

I guess they made a choice to phase out cashmere, or focus on baby cashmere since it's more premium. I'm curious about their cashmere 4.0 fabric, but it's just too expensive to randomly buy it online.

Been wearing this navy crewneck lately, simple, no-fuss knit.

12.8 Kid Wool is the exact same as the LP Gift of Kings but at half the price. A very thin jumper that costs the same as a WL cashmere shawl collar cardigan. Less yarn for more money, but I reckon one can wear this year round, as opposed to a thick cardigan you can only throw on in the Winter :)

How would you compare this against kid cashmere? I'm looking at getting something in either of the two later this year. Curious to feel the nicer yarns, so far I've only experienced pure cashmere from Lockie and cashmere/silk from Colhay's (Cariaggi).

Depends , 12.8µ wool is not as warm as an 1ply kid cashmere for example. So in colder days you need/have to layer it no matter. Its also more fragile. Gift of kings is more expensive because its at 12µ but even more sensible..i think this game must to stop since its wool
Compare to what you experienced from Lockie and Colhays it will be a difference in feel and fit (Colhays fit is probably closest to Colombo)

Same Colombo camel cable knits 2ply one cashmere and one kid the difference is in out of the box softness. But the price has to be higher since its harder to obtain/more rare for the same fibre length

Again, for those who are thinking in gift of kings/kids wool garments...from my bottom of my heart i would say to try cashmere 4.0
Same feeling, same lightness but more sturdier , its worsted cashmere at 140g fabric weight. Its one of my favourites along side of course yangir

That pattern is lovely. I just wish it was closer in price to last year's offerings and that they'd offer pure cashmere online as well.
Yes, after i just bought JoL cable knit, i see this..but again garments with two different purposes...JoL shape/style is more versatile, can be worn with jeans/trousers, jackets, sport jackets of almost any fabric, this Colombo one is a far superior garment but IMO more limited in how you can wear it (tends to your more casual fit). I will try it after 20th of August

Thanks for your opinion. I'm leaning towards the navy turtleneck in kid cashmere for my first knitwear from Colombo.

Both are soft but in different ways.

Kid Wool is thinner but knitted in such a fine gauge that it has great hand and elasticity. It also doesn't pill because the merino yarn used is inherently a longer staple length than cashmere (think supima cotton shirts). Suitable year round.

Kid Cashmere is warmer and has a lovely collar detail, but after wearing it sparingly smalls pills have been showing up in friction areas like the underarm, just like any cashmere knits. Suitable for three seasons except Summer.

Kid wool is more similar to modal or premium cotton than baby cashmere in hand feel.

I have only seen cashmere 4.0 as woven fabric for womenswear but no knitwear. Would been nice with some knitwear.

Last year they had in shop knits, blazers, shirts even some pants. They will make some more for sure. For blazers and shirts works the best imo
