If you're not up for spending the money for Scottish cashmere, go with merino wool. Cheap cashmere is a waste of money.

Are you sure BR's Cashmere scarves are made in China? If so what makes it bad? I guess go with the next best alternative and get Merino Wool then?

FB has a nice collection of cashmere scarves for under $88. Lots of Missoni and Portolano. The Portolano makes alot of scarves for dept stores. The quality will vary from just ok to high-end. The Missoni scarves were top quality, nice colors (if you like Missoni), and long.

If you're getting the lambswool, may as well get the cashmere blend which is just a few dollars more expensive. I tried one of those as well and it feels great.

I think that especially with Google Checkout cancelling shipping costs out and discount codes, the STP Johnstons scarves represent better value than FB scarves.

You won't have to be damned. You can spend $250 or more for Begg's cashmere at www.customshirt1.com.

You can get one Alex Begg cashmere scarf in every color available for $8,800 - then you could wear a different scarf every day for more than a month.

In NYC they are now selling "100% cashmere" scarves on the streets for $10. They may very well be made of acryllic, who knows. But they look and feel nice.

I've purchased Scottish cashmere scarves from royal warrantholders Lyle & Scott on STP for under $20. I'm sure you can find good Scottish or Italian cashmere scarves on ebay, new, for $50 or less.

I just nabbed three NWT Avon Celli pure cashmere scarves on Ebay from an Italian seller for $75/each plus shipping. He has more available.

The BR cashmere scarves are a bit overpriced at 88, but they're not that bad a deal. You can do better in terms of fabric quality, but I usually find the colors and patterns of stuff availabe on STP rather untasty.
