    Sorry I cannot.
    Very understandable.
Sounds like we have a celebrity amongst us. How about a hint as to your career field. Did you just hire an "apprentice"? Bradford

Yeah, with YOU in it with your eyes covered with a black bar for anonymity. If you can do that, we'll believe you. Maybe.

Why not? You just said up above that we probably know who you are. Does not compute.

I am getting the dreaded red "X" instead of a picture.

Kalra, if you are a well-known captain of industry, what's the harm in revealing your identity?  If you are Dennis Kozlowski and do not want your posts to be used as evidence in your upcoming re-trial, I understand.

I'd be interested in seeing pictures of the Veyron.

BTW, to everyone else (all you amateur sleuths out there): I did a little search through all of kalra2411's previous posts, and they are certainly a little confusing.  At the beginning of his participation in the forum (Aug 2003), his posts were littered with grammatical and spelling mistakes, and even the spelling of brand names (that the very rich are unlikely to be unfamiliar with) is incorrect.  For example, in our (rather inane) thread arguing the merits of English vs. Italian suiting, he writes:

Not only is "Brioni" spelled incorrectly, but his subsequent posts (in that thread) indicate that this was not just a typo.  Also, the sentence is verbose and written in a style inconsistent with someone who is Oxford educated, as he has also claimed (see the recent "Black Suits" thread.)  An Oxford grad might have written:  "...except that from Rome, namely Valentino and Brioni".  The phrasing "from Rome which are namely (sic)" is not a literate sentence; and the mistakes made are not the mistakes of a highly literate writer.  His subsequent posts in that thread indicate at best rudimentary knowledge of tailoring and the fashion industry.

He also posts are rather juvenile question on August 28 about the American fashions.

As time progresses, however, his posts improve markedly, both in content and in the quality of his writing.  He begins in write in a punctuated, bulleted manner, the way most people do when in a hurry.  In a recent thread, he even criticizes my grammar.  His criticism shows that he is sensitive to grammatical structure.

His posts consistently indicate that he is a Brit and a Londoner; and married, and the topics he posts to indicate that his interests (fashionwise) are in European designers and in (really expensive) watches.  In fact, his posts on watches seem the most genuine.  He starts a watch thread listing his rather impressive collection, which is a bit odd, but in follow-up posts he is merely asking the opinion of a particular watch he just bought.  He also seems to be fairly knowledgeable about cars, but I'm ignorant on that subject, and so can't really judge.

I'm a little confused because the learning curve seems a little steep.  He could've picked up a lot of knowledge just by surfing he net or even just reading posts on this forum, and his observations about Versace jeans might suggest that he is just more interested in designer fashion than he is in tailored clothing.  But it's difficult to improve your language skills so much in such a short time.  Were there two writers?  Was kalra writing poorly at the beginning on purpose?  To what purpose?

We're not going to be able to figure out kalra's identity just by looking at his posts, but I think that there is enough interesting evidence for us to delve a little deeper.  "j" will have his email on file - which could verify who he is if it's a company address.  But a Hotmail or Yahoo account would tell us nothing.  Assuming he really is a rich industrialist, he'd probably be listed in the British "Who's who".  If anyone has a copy, they could cross-reference with London residence and (perhaps) marital status.  He is probably going to be between his late twenties and his early forties (a guy in his late forties is unlikely to be laughing at those in their 60's, as he does in one of his posts).  Complementary information might be found by looking at his financial interests.  He seems to be involved in a number of industries.  Banking and commodities are nearly impossible to track, but there are finite numbers of manufacturers and (large) retailers.  It's likely his companies are public, so just look at the list of executive structures of larger companies down through the VP level.  I thought that it was interesting that he posted:

This is a very odd post, and not very well written, which might be another indication he is an imposter.  But if he isn't, that he calls Bally his enemy might be a clue as to his identity.  Also, he says he is well known, which suggests that he is in the public eye to some extent.  Hey, are you that guy who dated Princess Di?

In any case, I am intrigued.  Kalra, P.M. me if you are the real deal.

On the other hand, if you are Paul, my buddy down the hall, then you owe me a beer.
