Had a terrific day with the Ferrari 328 GTS on Friday. Spent about 8 hours on her then went for a cigar to celebrate. Weather was almost perfect, albeit a little windy for detailing. Got stuck in 30 minutes of traffic on the way back which sucked, especially with no power steering, hot engine, and an A/C that might’ve worked better less than 32 years ago. However i was pacing with a vintage 1970’s Porsche 911 Targa. I would’ve taken a picture but I had to keep my hands on the business, nice guy though.

Love how Ferrari branded their name onto the wheels. Those little subtleties seems to me lost on modern Ferrari’s

Continuing with the trend, here’s what I spotted today. In a current industry where car styling is marked with a complete lack of taste, this always wins

If this is true it will be the death of me...

Just spoke to someone about this. I hear it is unlikely the Motorsports division would ever agree to a “GT” branded Cayenne, though they will happily lend engineering expertise.

I love the '60s Continental. If I got a classic car, it would be a Continental convertible. I'm more of a cruiser than a speed guy. (Maybe I was influenced by Entourage.)

But you need the whitewalls.

AP had been quoted not long ago as saying he’s not going to make GT SUV’s unless Porsche actually goes racing them in something like Dakar. Let’s see if his word means more than that of all the lying BMW M bosses who said there would never be M SUV’s, M will always be RWD, blah blah

Agreed, I like the billet wheels but would prefer them with a smaller diameter and with whitewall tires visible.

Fingers crossed. Porsche is much better situated than BMW.

Car looks great! Always fun when you encounter another cool car on the road to drive with. It has rarely happened when I'm in the 328.

Thanks! Couldn’t agree more with that. I was lucky enough one occasion to pace with a 355 Spider, just cruising along the Parkway.

Yea, it’s definitely been awhile since I’ve spontaneously encountered another cool car. Occasionally I’ve caught up with a friend on the way to our local Cars & Coffee. Or once a year meet up and drive to a car show with a few friends going to an Italian car show.

Encountered my friend in his 1985 3.2 Carrera on the highway.

Another friend (1993 Turbo Esprit SE), we caught up with him on the way to cars & coffee

That's one of the best parts of Saturday morning this time of year: driving around town and seeing all the cool cars out and about after Cars and Coffee.
