Put an unexpected 100 miles on the TT this past weekend. Uncharacteristically sunny weather and the TT loves chilly mornings.

Every time I see a 911 I tell myself I should sell my car, but a decently maintained 911 (997 or 991) for like $60k and the lease the cheapest AWD suv for when I need to travel, haul things, and there’s snow.

This picture doesn’t help. They’ve been my favorite car since I was a kid.

^that particular one, you won’t be able to get for even double the $60k budget, but I’ve written multiple times here that i believe the 997 is the sweet spot for the most modern 911 that still has the feel of the classic ones. Any RWD example would be my pick.

Yeah, idgaf about air cooled vs water cooled. I just like 911s and they’re fairly reliable if well maintained.

There’s no single car that really hits everything I want: towing ability, cargo space, no body roll, but also really fun to drive. It seems like 2 cars is the better option overall next year.

There is a brown 997.2 that I see on the road around here and I always break my neck looking at it as it passes. While I really like the brown color, I don't know if I would end up buying one. My wife and I both agree on Guards Red as the choice.
