Just place an order for a 2022 Mercedes GLE 450 (no V8's for the 2022 year as of now due to supply chain issues). Will be trading my Macan GTS in for it around beginning of year (end of Dec / early Jan). Never owned a Merc but looking forward to it. Really thought their interior surpassed everyone else in the class.

It's also faster than the PEAK PORSCHE.

I'm wondering whether there is something to the story that they may have sandbagged it. Sounds like it may have 500 hp just like its big brother and should have a meaningful weight advantage. Why didn't it break 7 like the 992 GT3? Perhaps the new front suspension setup in the 992 GT3 really is the game changer many have made it out to be.

when someone mention Citron I think of DS, but then modern I would have no clue what design language it suppose to imply, big egg shell?

Been enjoying my Defender 110 2022 v8. It’s a beast of a car and I’m blown away with the new tech and capabilities. A lot of fun and fast. I retired my 2013 RRS v8 so I still wanted to maintain that zippy feeling but with the new bells and whistles and the aggressive capabilities.

Ha, good point, it won’t stay that clean for long and I took it through a few forests (not necessarily off roading but getting there) and it’s already more of the LR luster. I only go off roading once or so a year in Vermont or NC so that’ll take it to a different level. Ha.

I’ve been so out of the loop and really am enjoying things such as the HUD (especially integrated with Nav) and of course AirPlay with Apple and all the on-road and off-road cameras for precision adjustments.

I love HUD, I can’t even remember ever looking at instrument cluster…
