Missed this in the initial Porsche cross turismo announcement. Such a brilliant and stupid move at the same time

That is funny. Also silly is the 992 GT3 watch, available only to 992 GT3 owners.

I think the bright Blue is appropriate on the porsche touring.
as it makes me think of brightly colored cars in the 60's -70's. Without wings and stuff.

Bright colour, comfortable chairs. . .
Retro goodness?

That's a nice colour.
The 996 adventuring up thread made me think about it.
I still like the 996 look.
Do you guys think the prices of them will go up before i can afford one?

Edit: Computer says yes. :(

I’m in the same boat. I took a new job this year after 10+ years at my last company. It has a nice upside if my team exceeds our goal. Payout will be next Feb.

I was thinking 996 but I’ve I’m leaning 981 Cayman now. Just wish I could find one in that Oak Green.

I thought 996 was already going up? Personally hold zero grievance against 996 because it came out when I was in high school, you're mechanical capable, you got a garage, rest is how much $$$ you want to burn...

yeah, the last time i posted a 996 it was around 16k.
now? The cheapest one that fits my criteria is over 36k
They have more than doubled!!!!

I fear i may join you in the "aim for a Boxster club".
While we may have some wealthy players in here, we are all enthusiasts.
And yes, I am mechanically capable. And would only put 3k kilometers a year on one. As a "sunny day" car.
We can all work towards a goal. but the 996 is evaporating as an option. The emptiness after the sale of the "yellow monster" has left a vacancy in my enthusiast heart.

I’m sure it’s a PTS color. I love it and think it’s perfect on a GT3 Touring spec. The interior is also perfect. Brown leather, houndstooth and CF buckets. Just my taste of course. I’m sure it’s not for everyone.

Agreed—THIS is how to do the Touring right in spirit.

Oak green is from the 70’s. I’m not sure if there’s other Porsche metallic greens that are from earlier. The brighter nonmetallic greens are more historic and come from even older models

The two most iconic dark greens for Porsche have to be Irish Green and Brewster Green. The latter used to be the favored color of Porsche family members and exclusively reserved for them.

Not the worst ride on a sunny, 60 degree day. Personally would not leave the top down outside the restaurant with the number of seagulls around ...

I’m at the gas station and I here a go guy “how do you like yours?”

I look to see what he’s talking about. He’s filling up at one pump his Volvo XC90 talking to another random woman filling up her Volvo XC60.
