Debadging any wagon would work. Can trick it out easily to over a 100 grand, but from a distance it can still look like a decent 50k car. Stealth wealth ftw!

Wife is no longer commuting daily (obviously) so no real need for the former fun commute car, an S5 Convertible. Wants a bike rack and to be able to put the new dog in the back. So SUV or wagon. No douchemobiles, as likely moving to the earlier-stage startup space where ostentation is generally frowned on. Thinking A6 Allroad, which is pretty decent looking if you pay an extra grand for the full paint finish -- which deletes the ****** body cladding.

Has she considered a 2018 GT3? It might not seem like it meets the requirements up front, but you couldn't be more wrong. You can modify the back to have a dog seat, and the 150dB interior should make it especially dog friendly. Plus if you have such a fun car, you don't need a bike rack because you rather go driving than biking.

That dog seat better be carbon fiber. Also, put the dog on a diet to save some additional weight. oh, and dock the tail and crop the ears...every gram counts.

I actually got a puppy and went to a wagon during COVID too. Highly recommended.

Subie is not reassuringly expensive enough.

That Alfa GTV went for $77,500. A tidy two-year profit after acquiring it for $55,000.

edit: I like this quote..., definitely not road car...

Removing the variable valve timing means the V-12's torque curve isn't quite as meaty below the 4,000-to-5,000-rpm range, as in the road car, but the new transmission's close ratios and ultrafast shift times mean that won't be an issue on the track, says Murray. "I don't think you go below about 9,500 or 10,000 rpm on a gear change, so you're never going to notice."
