I started on the Maser route via a GT3200 that was actually the wife's but she said it was 'too powerful' for her

The wife’s got good taste  After all you did say the GT3200.

Mine (my wife's) was never the same after being side-swipped by a Fire engine (fire truck to you).

APR pulled their VW/audi downpipes from their website and are supposedly going to stop providing Stage 2 tunes after labor day. Sounds like an issue surrounding emissions/wanting to be 50-state compliant? Supposedly other tuners are going to follow?

Anyone heard anything similar?
Had not heard this, and this is sad news to me, I'm about to hit the APR site now and confirm.
I miss my Stage II GTI, and was looking at A3/S3's recently, I may need to stock some last minute parts.

Man, this is sad news, I hit up the APR site, and all downpipes are already pulled.
Also hit up some VW/Audi forums and found some chatter confirming this, though there was no explanation as to why.

Wow.

The outrageous specs speak for themselves.

Though, I have to admit I’m not in love with the side view. Front and rear 3/4 views are awesome. From the side, the car looks a bit slabby.

After my last car was totaled in a hit and run accident in Philly last fall, I went a few months with no car at all. It was actually liberating. I finally gave in and bought a Volvo XC60. In a thousand years I never thought a Volvo would appeal to me, but there it was. Six months in, I am pleased with it. I had my decade with some swell cars, but it's time to finally admit a car like this actually works for me.

I can see the appeal of manual, but I would think for ICE to go out, should go out with a bang too, maybe have a Dual Clutch version as well, so at least ICE can have a bit last laugh on 0 to 60 and quarter mile bragging right until it can't compete with electrical ever again...

Having just watched Immigration Nation on Netflix, my brain is struggling with the ICE abbreviation as "internal combustion engine"

That ship has sailed.
