Not a bad kind of wreck, or one that will devalue it in too big of a way, but still, it foreshadows that money does not buy skill or talent....or brains for that matter. It's not really that difficult of a maneuver to not scrape the bumper or bottom of your supercar. I was on the job not more then a month before I successfully loaded a customer's Ferrari Enzo on the back of a flatbed transport truck.

Boy i had no idea who Ben Chen was before now, but it sounds like he’s a grade A asshole. It was pointed out in the article i read that he actually crashed in front of the Javits Center. Which is of course a hospital for coronavirus patients these days. Well done, you piece of trash.

And he was drunk and he tried to flee the scene. Currently in jail, so there's some good news.

God this is sexy.

British racing green is my favorite color. I love rich metallic colors like that, but green is probably my favorite.

The 2021 911 Turbo S reviews are popping up on YouTube. Car is really impressive. I’d take the Turbo or Turbo S over any GT model.

You take that blasphemy back. GTs are peak Porsche and thus peak car.

Why are the Speedsters so eye-wateringly expensive if they are just on the 911 platform?

I know you’re joking, but my car is considered peak BMW by many. It’s too stiff, hurts my back, and my gf would light it on fire if she could because it’s so awful for passengers.

Bragging rights give way to comfort in real life.

Numbered Porsche’s always command a premium, but in the case of the Speedster, I suspect Porsche decided to test the price elasticity of demand based on how the secondary market reacted to all 991 GT cars.

And frankly, it makes sense.

991 GT cars are underpriced at MSRP, and it makes more sense for Porsche to pocket as much money as possible (and perhaps reinvest in R&D) vs. dealers and flippers taking a chunk for doing literally nothing.

Of course, this is all going to change with the 992 GT cars, if not for the economy, then due to the simple fact Porsche is going to build a metric ton of them.

The car in your post, I believe is Irish Green. Not as dark as a traditional British Racing Green. A friend just took delivery of a Brewster Green 991 Speedster. I was hoping to see it at an upcoming PCA event, but with the social distancing going on, all events are cancelled for now. I've seen a photo of his Speedster and it looks amazing. I was passed on the highway by one a few weeks ago and it looks awesome! Definitely, my favorite version of the 991 !

The post called it British Racing Green, but I agree it looks a bit lighter. Still a great color.

That is just painful to listen to. I can recall being in California when the Fisker Karma was new. They seem really long and low. The owner was an older guy and he was pulling out of the parking lot of a nice restaurant and your could hear the the underside scraping as he pulled straight out of the exit ramp instead of at an angle. For me it was worse than nails on a chalk board.

I would say the original poster (unless it was the owner saying it is BRG) is probably wrong. In addition, Irish Green is a historically significant color for 911s, while BRG is not. They have been on 911s since the 1960s and even the 1 millionth 911 was produced in Irish Green (See photo below).
