Pio, that's the funniest thing that I've seen you write, lol I almost spit diet pepsi on the keyboard.
PS what sort of monthly payments do you try to keep for your vehicles? I'm looking at leasing for the first time now because of some of your posts.

    Ken,

I don't have a monthly number in mind but rather the best value I can find. For instance, last lease cycle I was shopping the MB GL vs. the big Infiniti SUV. Even though the Infiniti came in at a lower monthly it was an inferior value as the MSRP was materially lower, the residual was way lower, and the money factor was far higher. So it's quite possible to have a lower monthly payment yet get ripped off.

I'm trying to figure out the money factor term. In canada I can't seem to find anything like it; just interest rate, residual value, ect. I understand what you are saying based on the MSRP and value though

Money factor is the interest rate. In the leasing formula the MF is used. If you want a very tight approximation of the conversion divide the interest rate by 2400 or multiply the MF by 2400.

For some reason, I believe that these guys own those cars. I don't know why, I just do.

Maybe I'm just delirious after my flight.

The better question is what kind of idiot company has a high milage RR in their fleet, they cost a shit load when they break down, which is always.

We have a high mileage RR on our fleet it is driven by the Contracts Director who needs to go to off road sites and who drives a very high mileage. It is less than 3 years old and we have not had any problems with it.

Thanks Pio. When I get some numbers back from the dealer I might send you a PM to get your opinion. And as little money down as possible correct? The interest rate is 2.9% so that would mean the MF is .00120833

@superfulous - I've got an 09 XK with 60,000 miles on it - have had a single problem with a window regulator. Nothing has fallen off yet. I'm not arguing jags are super reliable cars but not as bad as you suggest
