Are hybrids still exempt from congestion charge, if so then there's a lot of money to be saved right there.

You serious? Have you driven a Porsche lately? Any for that matter? Have you read the latest comparisons? They don't even pitch the F-Type against a 911. They pitch it against the Cayman … and the Cayman still wins all the time hands down. Not surprising at all.

By the way, for 125k, you get an adequate 911S. And all comparisons stopped 10 million miles before that. Come on … load your F-Type and meet me at a twisty road.

guys always reserve the smallest car they have and pick a busy location, you'll always get upgraded for free

unless you actually need a bigger car then don't run the risk

You must have missed my dozen or so posts in this thread where I praise Porsche and the 911 and I've even gone on record a number of times saying that the 997 will be my next car.

Regarding the Jaguar, no one has reviewed the R (which in case you forgot, is the model I was specifically referring to), so before you run the risk of sounding too ignorant I would reserve judgement until those start to come out.

Oh, and here's Chris Harris seemingly enjoying the F-Type. But who is he, anyway...

Hopefully it lasts longer than normal Zymol, which lasts about as long as greenfrog does during sexytime.

Also lol - he used it in winter

That wax is for someone who has a Veyron in the garage but still doesn't think he's special enough. To see it used on that Altima is ironically hilarious.

Then again you lose perspective on any enthusiast forums. This may be the autopia equivalent of a SF member who buys $1600 St. crispins for the primary purpose of posting pics online

Eh, if you look at the price ratios, it is probably like putting saphir on some Eccos.

And saphir doesn't come with free refills!

lol... That's pretty sad but hey, men make really irrational decisions when it comes to cars... or women... or clothing...

No worries. When it comes to cars, for me passion rules and ignorance is bliss[IMG].

You are right. Confused the S model with the R. Road & Track pitched the F-Type S again the Boxster S. Boxster won with pretty much the same reasoning than Harris applied to the 991 (sans the showroom appeal argument - thanks for posting).

The R looks actually better than the open car, too. Usually a big fan of Callum, but not so keen on this car, except for the door handles ... Looks too generic Japanese/ Honda 2000-ish and the interior, quite frankly, is a mess. And the 991 is the best looking iteration since the 993.

Look forward though to R tests.

Going back to the intent of this threat, I will drive the wheels off my 69 911S over the long weekend and throwing in some Alfa time as well. And so looking forward to it.

Ahem, the "intent of this thread" is to be posting pics ;)
