$130K is 430 money.
yeah, I'm gonna do that. And then buy a CR-V for when I have to haul multch.
Exxxxxactly. Well, Maybe not an f430 due to the maintenance costs...
For a big and fast luxo barge I'd take an new gen Audi S8.
The crazy thing is the normal GL550 2013 nearly matches those numbers for about 85-90k. Half the fun of a vehicle like this, even with my current GL, is the sleeper nature of the vehicle. That and I just like big, roomy, comfy vehicles that sit higher than sport cars for visibility.
So... Audi will be unveiling a pickup truck today...
Looks like a drop top, with the roof down.
Yeah, but I wonder what? There's already an RS5...RS4 cabrio?
Third from right is probably RQ5 (QRS5? QR5?)
The Porsche Macan was officially unveiled today in LA. Starts in the 50s and the turbo starts in the 70s. Same realm as all those other SUV hybrids which means it is just a hatchback with higher ground clearance.
A7 cab, would make sense as a e cab competitor.
It's based on the Q5, which is based on the A4, so sounds about right.
It should come with the same engine as SQ5 3.0 bi turbo diesel and 313hp.
A3 cab, yawn.
Thought that was out already.
a stab in the dark but based on the #a3 in the corner of the photo, I'm betting its the s3 and then A3 sedan, hatch and cab.
That's why the S8 is awesome. It doesn't look much different than the A8 but it blows the socks off almost anything on the road. Faster than an f430, FF, MB SLS, F10 M5, etc from 0-60.
the thing I loved about the 430 was not necessarily the 0-60 time, but rather how it got to that 60 mph. It was a big production of outrageous noise and wicked gear changes.
The hatch, sb and sedan are all out in Europe, so s or rs could be a possibility.
Oh I know.
If I had my way, it would be an S8 as a DD, f430 Scuderia for weekends, and some kind of big SUV or pick up truck for actual utility.
Or, you know, keep living in NYC and dealing with walking, biking, cabs, and subways with my Acura RL for long trips.
Separate names with a comma.
