1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

It's a new car of its kind, and very striking, at that.

People won't buy it for the range or gas savings, necessarily. People will buy it because they can and because they want to be seen in one.

No doubt it'll capture the gaze of EVERYONE it drives by.

It also has a damn nice exhaust note for a 3-banger.

Personally, I think that the auto industry reached its high water mark with the Ferrari 458. It's all downhill from now

It's not common as most bikes people see are cruisers with that rumbly lumpy idle, but there are some. The exhaust on my CBR's I4 is very reminiscent of a BMW S54 I6 engine, for instance. Maybe it's nostalgia, but I like a parallel-twin near redline as well. Nowhere near as many tuneful bikes as their are cars, though.

The Brabus is just excess- the MB version is a military/industrial application.

Pretty sure the double axel version (6x6) is G63 only, so no.

The new i8 is sold out for it's entire production run, and BMW could likely double, or even triple that, before current demand is met.

It's not meant to make sense; it's meant to be a halo car for BMWs i series and future styling language. It will do a masterful job and garnering attention and interest for this sub-lineup.

I'm betting those Fiskers are just empty fiberglass shells.

I thought Fisker filed for bankruptcy? I doubt anyone takes them seriously at this point.

Doesn't help that their cars are ugly as sin, either.

Yeah- dunno what's up with Fisker- surprised to see those as well. The Karma was a thing of beauty. One of those concepts looks like an FF clone.
