1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Typo - I meant N52 and that should have been obvious. In the e90 model line, there weren't any significant differences between the 325 and the 330 motor. BMW basically dumbed down the output by changing the intake manifold, putting in a more restrictive exhaust as well as different software. They even have the same ecu.

Is there a fanboi test one must write and pass at BMW dealerships before they'll sell you one of the special ones?

It wasn't obvious because of the talk of both E46s and E90s. You're right about the N52B30 being used with various degrees of external tuning in both the 325/328 and the 330.

Careful, one of the questions is about AWD traction in snow.

In my first post I talked mostly about the e90 and the only reference to the e46 was the relatively low prices on 330s and a copy of a craigslist ad for a zhp. In my second post (where I effectively shut impolyt_one up [IMG]), I noted that the e90 328 hp output was between that of the normal e46 330 and the zhp model: regular 330 was 225 hp, zhp was 235 hp while e90 328 was 230. The reason I brought all of that up was that there is plenty of unlocked power potential in the 325. Even bringing the torque up to 328 standards would be a worthwhile exercise IMHO as the performance gap between a 330 and a 328 is smaller than the gap between the 328 and 325.

Have you guys seen this fucking Acura ad they've been running on ESPN? I thought it was a joke the first time I saw it. Apparently they're going after the Patrick Bateman market.

I agree. For me its about 40% though. Transparent mod? Or stick it in your images and pull it up via 'recently used'.
