^That wouldn't have an impact on who it looks though, the chassis might.

looks wise they're very similar... but the g37's are based on the z platform.

i've always thought that nissan just recycle's parts of their prev. gen lines into their new gen lines.

ie. the now prev. gen nissans had characteristics similar to the prev. gen g series
now it looks like all of nissan's current line is going to be based off of design cues from the 370z (ie. maxima, altima)

I've seen two people recently trade a g37 for an fr-s.

I'm guessing we are talking about a ~$50k car here, and you think it only depreciated $7-12k in 3 years?

I am having problems understanding what you're saying but I refer to your original post. $700 a month payment and you attribute $200-250 a month of that payment to depreciation? Therefore you are telling me the financing component is $450-500. This hard to comprehend and something is not making sense to me.

Also, as you and I both know TC, many lease programs are actually inflating the residual, so many times you experience less depreciation costs over a lease vs. the person that buys the same vehicle.

are you saying I should lease my vehicle over buying it?

Good choice. Should be fine for 200K+ miles and low cost.

Depends on many things, i.e. how many miles you do in a year, what your long term goals are (like to change cars every 3 of plan to "drive it into the ground"), etc.

Yeah, I got it for a song. You know you're on the right track when other dealerships are telling you to go buy it at the place where you got the quote from.

2k under sticker or 2k under invoice? 2k invoice sounds like a crazy good deal. I guess they'd be blowing out 2012's with 2013 MY's practically on the boat

    Under invoice.

Paying cash for a car is the WAY to go. I was in and out of the dealership, including the test drive with a disabled person, in under 2 hours. With a bunch of chit chatting and fucking about. The finance office took 20 minutes and that was them printing out all the damn forms. So easy.

Actually, the 2013's won't be out for a few more months. I just worked this one from scratch. If I could have waited I bet it would have been even lower. Gotta love playing these fuckers off each other to further your own needs.
