saw a Ghost and Continental GT on Bloor and Avenue intersection (also, new condo construction to be sold "in the mid 300's"?? isn't that cheap?). saw a Murcielago Spyder and DBS in the Niagara casinos though

It might've been a Carrera GTS cab, I just saw one of those recently as well. From a distance they look like a riced-out 997, and then you realize it's all stock...

I drove in Germany for one of the first time since I moved there. Went to the North of the country using the Autobahn, gotta love cruising at 160km/h legally with the limiter on. I rented a Nissan Qashqai, too big of a car for me but they didn't have anything else in that class. Comfortable car that's for sure, but sucks too much gas.

lol, had to look that car up. I think it's the Nissan Rogue everywhere else. We consider it to be really small in America.

Haha I can imagine. Fortunately this isn't South of France or a Mediterranean country but in parking areas and narrow street I didn't feel too confident about it.

I reserved a midsize rental car in America recently and they gave me a 7-passenger Kia SUV. I hadn't even planned on driving it that much, but since it was so big, it fit my whole family and I drove them around all week. I had been hoping for something just a bit bigger than a Ford Focus.

Hertz gave me a C30 T5 in Toronto over the weekend. it's a peppy little car but the steering was terribly numb. nothing special but it feels very well made. probably not good enough to beat what I consider the benchmark in this class, the GTi

I just rented one of these last week (by that I mean I rented a car and was given one of these). Was amazed at how big the new Focus was, nothing like the shoebox I remember.

Some dealerships do go the extra mile for sure. Check this out. Mrs. TC hit a pothole and blew out a tire last week. The wait for roadside assistance was 3+ hours, and rather than have her wait, the GM graciously offered this up as a solution:

    That's awesome.

Fletcher Jones is like a resort, they do complementary manicures, have putting greens and all kinds of bullshit when you drop off your car.

Is that somebody's personal S550? Looks like it has a university or Spurs sticker on the back window. Reminds me of college when the wal-mart kids used to go to school with me, there was a wal-mart granddaghter who had the previous generation S-class with Carlsson rims or something, no drop or anything else, was just Source'd out. Her cousins who went to my school did the same things, bought nice cars and then just put ugly rims on them - there was a Cayenne with chrome 22"s the year it was new, a Ferrari 456M with chrome 20"s, that whole family dreamt of basketball. Can't believe she wanted to hang out in my tiny college town after they had to apologize and change the new basketball arena from her name to a generic name because it was found out she had been paying her roommate $20 a page to write her papers at UCLA (not even my school)...

Yeah, it looked like a bazillion times better than either of the newer 7s, and that car was clean. I also forgot it had a V12 badge on the back.

The one in the back? LOL That's our personal S550. The sticker indicates lifetime membership to an organization that provides support for policemen and firefighters who are killed in the line of duty. I have those on our vehicles in lieu of front plates, if you get my drift. :) The S550 on the flatbed is the dealership's car that they brought to my wife to use while they replaced the tire, new allignment, etc.
