I'm pretty sure that it was shown at some motorshow not to long ago, but could be wrong.

When has need ever been an issue in high end car design, do you need a G65 etc.

    So true, sadly.

yeah that was the CS concept, it's old. It was supposed to show some design things for the next generation, as you can see the little fender scab/scar thing later shows up on the 7 series, the back end looks like a rudimentary version of the 6 series rear end, and the silver eyelids are in production on the 7 and 5 series.

I know you deleted most of the pictures, but did you ever post one of the interior? Would like to see it.

My wife has been a loyal VW Golf, GTI and then R32 owner for years. (Her license plate reads "VW 1") . So we have always had at least one of these peppy little guys around the garage. I love their look, style and the fun of driving them. So, I can't believe that a Ford is now catching my eye. I never, ever thought I would/could say that. (well, not since my '69 Mach 1). The little Focus ST has me interested.

I look forward to driving one when they arrive in the dealerships. Can't wait to compare it to the VW.

I love my car but I can't deny that the Focus ST will be a fantastic competitor. Ford really upped their game.

    :)

It's been through ten New England winters as a daily driver, was tracked a few years, and still looks brand new. Not a ding. Not a trace of rash on the wheels.

Most E46s look like crap at this point.

    That's mostly what I meant.

As for the mods, well, one either likes a near-stock look or not. I'm not sure if there are even five M3s on American roads that have all of the BMW Individual trim parts in this car. For example, an M3 owner in Germany had to use his VIN to get a particular trim piece in person at one of the M parts departments for me.

Could someone else have done this? Maybe, Many? Probably not.

I'll snap a new pic for you later.

I love seeing people keep their high performance cars 100% stock. As your story indicates it becomes harder over time to do so.
