Every now and then I'll get a thumbs up or notice that someone is taking photos. I don't consider what I drive to be all that special - and the cars wouldn't be outside of Indy - but on a few occasions they have caused unwanted attention and awkward moments while cruising about in these parts.

Nice. The only attention I get is for my angel eyes sometimes but the most explicit props I got was when I turned into my apartment's street to get into my parking complex so I started slowing down and down shifting. Some dude gave me a thumbs up for the rev matching lol.

Jay^2 didn't you recently buy a new SL AMG?!

I'm not good about taking pics, and don't have any yet.

As for the S65, I'd decided not to get another V12, at least not this time around. Had too many leaks with the last one, which is a common issue with MB v12s.

Loving the car so far, but haven't had a chance to drive it much because of constant travel over the last month since getting it. Road trip tomorrow though. :D

Yours is the newer blown 5.5L, yes? Not the old NA 6.2L?

I have been browsing old 911's and many of them are modified to some extent, some are really interesting to look at, and there are those that are painful to look at too. I really like the old Porsches in weird colors, but most of the used ones in Japan tend to be in more boring colors, black, silver, dark grey, navy.

    - old 930/964 generation cars often have some sort of bumper delete treatment, like an aero kit or something. I found this SC that got converted to an aesthetic that says, at best, '964 Pokemon' :

this SC is probably the coolest looking 911 I've seen in awhile, alas it is sold already. I would buy it in a heartbeat.

Then there is the real problem, trying to find a 993 that isn't heavily body modded; there are seemingly too many C2 tiptronics here sporting full RSR/GT2 aero, and so many cars with at least the CS/RS splitters and some enormous rear wing. I don't know what tempts people to do this, but it's like a plague for these cars. Finding a nice stock or near-stock 993 with the right combo of specs is very difficult.

^Didn't you just decide that you wanted an aero bumper kit?

I'll be the first to complain that the drop top 458 isn't as good looking as the berlinetta

but fuck me this is sexy

just saw a one of those in black recently too. I didn't realize the chrome on black Scuderia shields were actually a factory thing now until I saw that pic of the GTO you posted and then I saw them on this black 458 spider. Classic yellow shields all the way.

love that red 911 and the white 356.

this one is for sale locally, how crazy would I be to get something like this and sprinkle a few invisible/longevity mods on it? It's pretty cute
