anything wrong with that?
yeah, had it a bit, hell of a machine.
no, not mine. The owner was a 30's something guy.
I'd much rather have a 458 to be perfectly honest.
did you feel the 430 was something you'd feel comfortable driving, say, 3-4 days a week as your normal car?
lol @ taking an f430 over 599gto
i know finn, jet black homie
the one thing that surprised me was how easy it was to drive. Heavy traffic - no problem at all. Open roads - brilliant. It could go from tame to savage in the blink of an eye and then right back down again (all at your command). Do I think one could drive it regularly with no problem? Totally. Would I do this were I to own one? Probably not, I'd get an old 328i or some beater like that for most of the time.
I've driven a hanful of 911's, M3's, etc., and they were all a blast. I kind of poo-pooed on the F430 for a while since it wasn't outlandishly powerful or fast (0-60 in the 4.1-4.2 second range is insanely fast, but lets face it, there's a LOT of cars out there that are well near that speed range that don't cost $200K). But plant that gas pedal on the F430 and none of that matters, it was that astonishingly good.
Wife is well aware that this merely reaffirmed my intent to buy one in a few years.
Discussion was about it being dated. Up to you to decide whether you think it's good or bad.
My new car's steering wheel!!! u bishes jelly?
what did that come off of? And is that cluster stock for the car?
it's the new m6
not my car, of course
oh, they started delivering those already?
well they definitely started producing them but whether they've been taking orders i have no idea. it was at the bmw dealership in dallas and it didn't have any 'sold' tags on it or anything. was just on the showroom.
such a sexy ass car...
the steering wheel is just so amazing.. i didn't capture the entire thing but wow, i've never seen anything like it. it felt so nice and thick in my hands; perfect grip (no homo).
Yup and there's a good few riding round already.
Saw a gran coupe in the flesh for the first time today, I have one word WANT!
Oh and 3 FF's black, silver and dark blue.
Jet, your buddy's car is pretty sweet! if it's tracked frequently, then i guess that insane wing is justified.
i hate to say it, but i'd take the 458 italia over a 599 gto, just from a styling standpoint. the 599 has way too much of an "american" sports car feel to it. it looks kinda like the yellow gold wearing, hairy chested brother of the c6 corvette. just proportionally too similar for me. don't get me wrong, the 599 gto is one of the most impressive beasts available, and i'd love to own one, but the 458 is pure sex. the best looking ferrari in quite some time, imo.
Gomestar, you were trying to say the 458 over the 599, right? cause the 430 is fucking ugly as shit. i'd take a 360 modena over a 430 any day(again styling-i'm a fucking car designer. what can i say, i'm shallow as shit!)
GreenFrog, that steering wheel is amazing, huh? that's my favorite thing about the interior of my m coupe- the beefy steering wheel. i don't know why all performance cars don't come with these thick rimmed steering wheels...it provides such a feel of confidence when pushing the hell out of your car.
that 6 interior actually looks kinda decent. bmw interiors, imo, are pretty poorly designed and executed but this one doesn't look too bad.
and Find Finn, the gran coupe...I ABSOLUTELY HAVE TO HAVE THAT THING! SO BADASS!!!!
All recent BMW's steering wheel and interior scream: Drive the hell out of me !!!
I did say I'd prefer the 458 over the 599 GTO, the 430 was the one I drove. And I agree that the 430 is not particuarly beautiful, but I don't care. I still want one (and one can be obtained at half the price of a 458).
