$50 today. I don't think they were that cheap back then.
That isn't even a good point. You want to buy a 20 year old car today, obviously it'll cost cheaper for regular maintenance.
I bet you it was pricey back then. I somewhat remember my dad changing some 14" or 15" tires on his corolla when I was in high school and I believe it cost him ~$100 each and that is a lot back then. You can get an 225/50 18" wheel for $100 today.

But you're baller so why worry about the cost of stock 17" wheels and make that as a point?

A Big N Tasty was .99 cents 10-15 years ago too. Standard cost of living changes.

My mother said my stepfather (Her on and off again husband...) just bought a 2006 Corvette Zo6 with 10,000 miles for $32,000. Traded his VW CC for it. Shes going to take pics this weekend.

I had one of those too, 2001, put close to 140k on it, every 25k iirc (might be 20k miles)

    a Pirelli P7 in 16" in 1988 inflation adjusted dollars is the same as a Conti 255/40/18 SC3 now (my 931 took 205/55/16 P7's)
I have Porsche Panerama magazines from the mid 80's, and I had a Porsche back then
it has actually gotten cheaper, more choices, more competition

Depends on how well you manage your money. Zero sum gain.

If you cant keep 2 nickels clinking in your pocket, pay cash. You know who you are.

Bit more info came down the pipeline... It's just a regular Vette with Z51 and M6. Orange to match his Harley... Priceing makes a lot more since.

I was excited as shit when I was told its a Zo6, as my sister and I was looking to take trip up there... Not that a regular C6 is slow, I already driven one. But I am going to guess he will be driving the Land Cruiser daily and putting the Vette in the hanger. So I probably will end up driving the Vette.
