Regarding the recent Ineos Grenadiers discussion the one consistent complaint I hear is the steering. It feels outdated and takes more work than a modern vehicle should.

That and the interior has a lot of hard plastics for an 80k+ vehicle. No one is saying it should be G Wagon luxury but at that price point buyers have certain expectations.

Otherwise I like how it looks and it should be reliable enough for a one off vehicle that doesn’t specialize in making cars.

It's the darkest time of the year here in the north and the car is garaged for the winter. Good time to look at nice photos from last summer... This was a beautiful late May evening, 9pm, 24c (75F), still very light. Super nice to cruise quiet roads with the roof and windows down. This kind of driving is really relaxing.

I don’t know what BMW calls their PTS color program but this must be one of them. Sitting in a local showroom. Evidently a customer ordered and backed out.

“BMW Individual”

But why not Oxford Green? It’s a heritage bmw color and one of the three best paints they’ve ever made…

Who is the target customer for the Nissan Murano?

They’ve been around for a long time and I see them on the road, but I’ve never known anyone to drive them. But I know lots of cars appeal strongly to specific groups of people even though others would never look twice.

What group is out there that looks at the Murano and says “hey, that’s the car for me”???

Have a $7000 award for going electric. Pretty much set on RAV4 Hybrid--trying to secure a 2025 in transit model MIJ. Car shopping is so stressful, calling around at dealerships etc. Online shopping thanks to Styleforum has helped a bit.

The alternative would be Mazda CX-50 hybrid. Nicer trim overall, sort of like the aggressiveness more on the Toyota. Also, a tad out of my price range. The trade-in is a '94 van so happy to upgrade regardless.
Done and done, I think $3-4k below all other qualified dealerships. '25 RAV4 hybrid, and newly delivered from Japan because Japan made still means something, right?

The Tacoma TRD on the lot looked really nice, too.

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
