everyone has such baller cars. i hate buying cars here in Australia. we get slugged with ridiculous taxes. for you to own a Mercedes c63 you have to be earning $200k + to afford it, comfortably. [IMG]

You probably have to be earning around $200K to afford a C63 comfortably in America too. :rimshot:

I guess we're lucky then, you might be able to get the CLS63 for $200K here if you skimp on the options :violin:

    welcome to the club.

i've had a bunch of them (though nothing that stuck to my record)...family had them taken care of. apparently though, there is some other sort of tracking system and even though I had a clean record I had to go to "driver re-training" class once. it was a saturday morning - i was really pissed. i wore a shirt that said "speed limits are for pussies" and had a picture of a cute kitten on it.

i haven't received any real ones in a long time, though a bunch of the moving speed trap ones. i got like 6 of them in the course of a few days when they first setup down here. I have a Valentine 1, but I kind of ignored it.

The worst part of speeding tickets is the increase in insurance premiums that lasts for years. My insurance finally came down to sane levels this year, but it took 7 years without a ticket for it to happen.

You're lucky. It really pays to contest every ticket.

I'm 30 and I'm looking forward to having a slightly more reasonable insurance premium. My teens and early 20's were not good points-wise. Lately though, I want to buy a little shitbox like a 600cc Japanese car or a VW Polo GTi, maybe a Fiat 500 and just wring it around. Something way under 100 horses with a manual tranny that you absolutely cane at every green light, a Mini Cooper S would be too powerful in this case. That sounds more fun to me right now than getting the 500hp bruiser car. I might get both if I can find some reduced price mini-size parking spot, and hopefully my insurance premiums will benefit.

The cheapest C63 for sale at the moment, is a black on black 09 estate with 64k km and it's for sale at 177k$.

If you straight up buy it, you have to put 20% and pay it out before the car is 10 years old.

So with 20% down, you have to pay 2k a month.

lol, I would move, that is truly obscene. I wouldn't want to, or have to pay $2K on a car payment unless I had both a Ferrari and an AMG in my garage at the same time.
