I can honestly say I would rather have a discussion with Arthur or bang my head in to a concrete wall, then keep trying to reason with you..

a 10 year old car can be compared to a newer car in this way

in the field of all performance sedans which stood out more in the group?
the e39 was in a league of its own
the e60 was mired in the field

is this because the e39 was much more advanced or that others caught up? probably both

as far as a discussion with me = banging head against wall, lol

Wish these could still be had in factory showroom condition. Would get one in white or silver. You guys can go ahead and laugh at my peasant taste in automobiles

I'm not really an M5 fan but the new frozen gray paint is pretty nice. Has any other car manufacturer offered matte paint from factory before?

    Mercedes Magno paints are matte.

Lamborghini offered the Gallardo in matte brown, blue, white and black.

hmmm, no wax or drying apparently (edit: gentle drying with a chamois is OK)

    BMW Individual Frozen Paint Guidelines:

Matt Russell, BMW NA M Brand and ALPINA Manager, and Tim Reiter, BMW Body & Paint Technical Specialist, tell us more about the washing and maintenance process of the matte paint colors.
Among many tips for those owners with “frozen” paint finishes, here are a few that stand out:

    • Use a regular shampoo and insect remover
    • Microfiber cloth, wax, sealant and final inspection cleaner can damage the matte paint
    • Do not polish or wax the vehicle
    • No mechanical means of cleaning the surface
    • Remove insect remains, tar and other residues immediately

the silver trim is an option, I think you can get it black or body colored
    I like the lights myself

on the road they really have a presence, the A5/S5 look really good imo

No microfiber cloths? It's pretty since it seems like a low maintenance paint but it will probably look like shit after a little bit of dust gets on it. I wonder how durable the paint is though. Also I think there are matte waxes out there now, probably a good choice to add a layer of protection to the paint.
