1. I'd like to announce that animated avatars are now available again. You'll have to reload, but they are once more possible.

We've been doing a ton of work behind the scenes. The site load speed was already under 1/2 of what Huddler's was, on average, and we installed cloudflare, which means that the site should be even faster. A ton more will go on in the weeks and months to come, and some things will be more visibile, and some less.

    Cheers,

    Fok.

2011 Trek 7.5FX powered by chicken and rice... It was a financial and lack of need for a car. But I am thinking about joining Naitonal Guard as MOS 15W. Figured with nearly a year of basic and AIT. Would pay off all debt and have a healthy savings without dipping into my investments. Plus the pride of serving my country... I will start a thread and ask for advice.

    But my car history.

    1963 Ford Falcon Convertible
    1997 Acura TL 3.2L
    1998 Pontiac Trans Am WS6
    1993 Chevy Corvette
    1998 Plymouth Voyager
    1998 Ford Escort ZX2
    1972 Triumph Spitfire

The Vette was very nice, even though it was not perfect shape. It was reliable, surpisly economical, and with creativity not a bad nights sleep. It also handles perfectly for American roads. My only complaint was terrible brakes for a land rocket. Maitance was not bad, hardest thing was replacing battery...

I still have a few cars I drive when I need to.
2007 VW GLI (Moms, when I need to drive distance)
2011 Merc CL 63 (Friends, I am designated driver. Don't care to drink my self stupid)
    2012 RR Evoque (Same Above)
1978 MG Midget (Sisters, again designated driver)
2001 Ford Focus ZX3 (Same above, rarely runs)

nice Turbo. i still don't have the ballz to rock a guards red Porsche - even though i love the color. even Carrara White gets too much attention for my own comfort sometimes...

iirc carrara white is being replaced.

But come on now, a red car being more prone to tickets a myth. When I get to buy a Porsche, it'll be red. It just has to be red. Ferrari too.

Not so into Guard's Red on newer Porsches, just doesn't seem right after you get used to seeing SC's and '80's 911's in Guard's with the black trim. 964 onwards look better in monochrome colors or sometimes weird colors like teal or brown. haha.

I took my old Audi on a roadtrip to Chicago the past few days, that thing has done mileage through the years but looks pretty clean still considering it's 10 years old. i had a problem with the temp gage dropping out on me all through the trip - the sensor or bung must be loose or something, I topped it up with coolant and the problem went away for a bit but returned. Anyone else with a 1.8T have the same problem?

I think the 991/S looks better in the brown metallic.

Here's a better pic but I'd still take guards red over it.

not that one, there's a darker chocolate-y graphite color that is good. That one looks like doo doo. Porsches are supposed to be weird colors though, in general.

Outside of yellow and kaka brown, looks like they don't have any weird colors for the 991.

I kind of like the aqua blue metallic though.

Every car I will ever own will be jet black.

This young asian kid rolled up in a 2010 gt3 to my boys shop yesterday, it was pretty nice.
