I'm not wealthy by any stretch but my kid is graduating in May and isn't immediately going to grad school so I've been perusing prices on a 3 pedal 997.2 C2s. I even joined Rennlist. Thoughts?

Ok something like a $45-50k budget? You won’t do better if you want a Porsche but do also check out the 981 Cayman S. Sort out whether you’re a rear engine Porsche guy or a mid engine Porsche guy first, and then buy one or the other

Grad school? That seems like it should be on the kid to figure out.

Edit: on the other hand, I gotta write another tuition check next month... If someone else had paid for this, I could have bought a 911 by now.

My parents made me pay for undergrad and law school...maybe that’s why they have so much nice stuff.

Bulletproof. Fairly depreciation-proof. And in my opinion, a sweet spot in the modern 911 lineup.

I miss mine tremendously.

Life is too short ...do it !!! I've never heard anyone say, "On his death bed, his last words were...The biggest regret of my life was buying that Porsche."

Probably true, but that’s only because that sentence is uttered when the first big maintenance bill comes in.

How do you feel about spending money on non-essential goods during the Covid-19 crisis?

  • I don't want to spend money at a time of economic uncertainty, even if I could afford it.

  • I feel compelled to spend to help small businesses that are struggling.

  • I reduced my budget for non-essential goods and I'm not spending at the moment.

  • Not much has changed for me and I'm still buying stuff I can't afford.
