I can live with it if everyone says my Z4 is ugly, doesn't matter to me. But I am still going to say the GS and new 3 series is ugly as well. I can literally pinpoint every flaw my Z4 has and it's really no big deal because I knew all of it before I made the purchase.

No one said you're a Lexus fanboy, I can admit I am though and I really hate where the styling is going. I still love the IS300, currently own an IS250. The bubble eye GS is great and the SC300/SC400 is still one of the cars that I would love to own to this day. I love it that they are being more sporty and a drivers car, the ISF is a great start but the LFA has been a joke (not the performance but the price and availability). If the new GS drives well, good, I am happy for Lexus. But the ISF fell short of matching the E90 M3, that is simple fact. As for this GS beating the current 5, again good for them. You can trace back my posts in this this thread, I don't like big sedans and one of the few who hates the 5-series so there isn't biased there but up until these recent generations, people have always said BMW is the standard. I haven't test driven the new GS so I can't say how it drives. I haven't read any reviews, I did watch the MotorWeek and they seem to be happy with the change but still feels it isn't enough. I still think they need a GSF and I still think their recent pinched front fascia theme is ugly. It may grow on me eventually but right now, I certainly wouldn't consider one.

In the end, just buy what you want and ignore all the BS. Everyone says the current season Z4 isn't as sporty as last gen, people said get a Cayman over it, that the turbo 4 is expensive, etc... I didn't care and bought what I wanted. Don't take offense in any of my statements on the GS, as you said, look is subjective and I am merely giving my opinion on how it looks and how it competes with the others.

500E's are classics... it was kind of rare I guess but somehow there are a bunch in Japan, there's specialist shops and dealers that only do 500's. A lot of cars get souped up with evolutionary parts, both Porsche and AMG stuff...

this one is really nice, has the powered Recaros from that time (which came on Hammers and the old RUF cars, maybe the original Audi RS2 as well?) and then a bunch of stuff on it, like Porsche Cayenne brakes F/R and some pretty nicely matching aftermarket wheels:

    this one has a 6.0L AMG V8:

Posted in early January that I ordered it and posted the pic yesterday when I got it. Possible that someone else got one as well?

it's not nearly as annoying as Green Frog's "I want an M3", "M3 is my dream", "I'm considering an M3", "might look at an M3 in addition to my current BMW", "I  an M3", but maybe that's just me.

I agree with most of what you said; also I was not implying that you said I was a fanboy. I brought it up so as to clear all doubt, as for the Z4, I have no problem with it. I think every good car these days seems to have a downside in styling, at least the ones I like. The Panamera is the best drivers car in its segment but the styling might be off-putting to some; same goes for the GS. The previous GS's were merely luxury appliances and the 3rd gen was not pleasing to the eye either. In the end, we must compromise since not all of us can afford an AM; then there are some that will say the AM lacks real performance especially for the price tag. The LFA is one of the greatest supercars of this era, yes it is pricey but the engineering is there to support that high price. Remember Toyota is not making any money off these things.
