yeah it's next to nothing. It's in the same price range as the disposable cars over here, I'm just kinda wondering if it's this cheap for a good reason.... It probably isn't the best car to buy in Japan; 5000cc's, V10 that gets horrific mileage, less than great reliability (?) zero visual cachet, etc, etc. I kind of dig the idea of a longer wheelbase car since it's gonna be on the streets and highways 99.9% of the time, but it has low-hanging oil coolers? things like this start making it less than ideal to drive in Japan.

S85 is basically a street-legal race engine. You will be paying $$$ maintaining that thing.

the gas bill will make you cry. i have an S65 (2 less cylinders), sit in much less stop-and-go traffic than you, and i die a little inside everytime the fuel warning light goes on (which is often)

Much like most of the cars BMW has been putting out lately, the F30 looks a lot better in person.

I thought I'd feel the same way but I don't. The car is pretty big. That snout is raised too high and the headlights with the extending kidney grill just looks even worst in person. The hood cut-off in the front is badly integrated too. I know it's some new European law to do that now but they could have done it much better. It's one of my least favorite part of my Z4 (partly the reason I got a black so it isn't noticeable) but at least mine goes around the headlights and the hood opens up midway through the fender similar to the R8.

I actually don't get that law at all because Audi/VW just came out with new models as well w/o that stupid short hood line. Found a PS of the car w/o it, looks so much better although that headlight & kidney grill connection still looks bad.

I still have a month left on the 997 so I'm just looking around and trying to test drive as many cars as possible. I'll try out the GT and a Vantage V8 this weekend.

Maybe I could go the used Ferrari/Lambo route.

Picked it up today. Manual trans and recaros.

Saw one of these out in the wild today and I must say they look really good. That's a V right? Nice color btw, beautiful car/very clean lines.
