Don’t need it on the GT3. The only function it’s required for is the back-up camera. Everything else can be handled with other buttons. Can use phone for navigation.

In other markets, you can order the car without the screen. But part way through production, US law made back-up cameras mandatory. Some lucky early buyers in the US were able to do the delete from the factory; everyone else got screwed.

There is literally 0 benefit gained by deleting PCM, aside from gaining clout from "purists" who get raging hard-ons for stupid shit like this.

LOL don't forget the theoretical milliseconds you would shave off your nurburgring time. That's the one true measure of greatness to which everyone must aspire.

Seriously though, the "nurburgringing" of performance cars is real and while it may be a great metric, it is still but one measure of performance and should only be taken so far in evaluating cars.

I enjoyed the 575 Marenello, even the Super America was pretty cool, although I found the electrochromic glass roof to be a little claustrophobic inducing. My favorite modern day Ferrari V12 has got to be the 550 Barchetta with a 6 Speed. Was lucky enough to have driven a couple, despite how limited the production was.

I admittedly know nothing about the car design and manufacturing process, so this video was beyond cool to me.

You mean sort of like people who put stickers on their cars?

Side decals and GT3RS' go hand-in-hand. Sorta like douchebags and BMWs (sorry, HRoi).

Sort of sounds like the same argument for gt3s and no pcm to me.

LCD screens are ugly and will inevitably become technologically dated and obsolete. Plus, as pointed out, in the case of the GT3, it doesn't really do all that much that I can't do with my iPhone.

So, why not delete it? I never said anything about a magnitudinal change in performance or anything else, though you do actually wind up saving 30-40 pounds. Really, it's just about removing an eyesore.
