Ah, right. Someone told me before but I couldn't remember. Is it an old model?

This looks like a painfully gussied-up '50s-era Mercedes or a VW Karmann Ghia dressed up as one. [IMG]

I think this thread has great potential if the title is changed to "Exotic cars on the street," so any members can post all the beautiful cars IRL they encountered anywhere in the world.

I am amazed by the cleaniless of Tokyo streets, you can practically eat off of them.

I don't mind if you post pics from somewhere else. Just say where you took the pic. Mine are obviously all from Tokyo.

The mods can obviously feel free to change the title.

If I had to guess, I'd say the base car is a Z3. I think the kit is nicely done, though.

    That's exactly what it is.

I can see it now. That makes much more sense. It's pretty well done, but all the chrome gimcrack makes me cringe.

90s model, it was one of the many Kei sized throwback cars from that era Classic Skyline meet at the Pokka 500km race in Suzuka [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] Honda GSS? http://www.flickr.com/photo_zoom.gne...ostream&size=l Formula car (Using Formula Atlantic 4AG Running gear) [IMG] Some Citroen (seen in Daikanyama) [IMG] [IMG]

Z3 into something like a kit version of an Aston Martin DB4 or 5? Appears that way to my eyes.

    Cool photos NR.

Those eyebrows are reminiscent of the Mercedes 300SL.

Why do so many of the cars have forward-mounted side mirrors? Just a Japanese thing?

Also, I don't think either incarnation of the 300SL looks bad.

The fender mount mirrors were a Japanese thing. They are positioned so that you can look throgh the windshield and see your blind spots, instead of turning your head. It actually works pretty well.
