I have a Briggs & Riley that is really great. But, it is not a carry on. Lately I am going on one day overnight trips. I was wondering what is a very nice leather piece that will hold a suit, shirt a couple ties and t-shirt or two? I would love if there was something that hooked to a small carryon piece of luggage as well.

thanks

Is there a reason why you want leather? I never find it as durable if you're travelling a lot. I'm a big fan of Briggs, check out their 22" Carry-on Garment bag;

Problem is that not all airlines will allow 22" - some are restricting to 21". The other possibility is going for something like this;

But the problem there is that it doesn't really accommodate any toiletry items. I've got this piece and it's great if I've also got a regular suitcase.

Yeah while leather may look good ... to start with, it's just not going to hold up as well. I haven't seen that first one in person, but looks like it's probably going to carry enough for a day or two.

im a musician who travels a great deal. im a firm believer in high-end carry-all/weekender/duffle bags rather that garment bag or even small roll-on although i do own a B&R 21" the i really like.
try a glasser or LV w/o the branding in a 22" and you will be able to carry much more. fold your suits and shirts properly and your fine clothing will be none the worse for wear.

What are you doing to your carry-on bags to make you believe those made of leather won't last? Quality leather will last a lifetime and has far more character than anything synthetic.

I'm pretty rough with my bags, I've found that my leather pieces end up scratched/scuffed and look much more worn than a ballistic nylon. I also tend to check the bags as well as carry on so that doesn't help ...

For overnight, I wear my suit jacket and put everything else in here. It is a Ghurka leather bag. I can get my pants, gym clothes, sneakers, shirts, ties, a sweater with room to spare.

If I don't want to risk wearing my jacket, then I take my small black nylon B&R roll-on, pack my suit and everything else in there and just carry it on.

I am going on a cruise in Sep, and was just thinking about something like this to carry my suits.
How many suits can this bag carry? I was thinking about 1 tux and 2 suits to bring on board.
