Bought a bunch of Carolina Artisans over-the-calf argyle socks (both cotton and wool) when I was in the Pittsburgh airport last year. Have not been able to find them anywhere else, or even find a company website to check them out. Great quality and really like the color selection?

Any ideas?

Also, used to like the Jos Bank OTC argyles, but they don't seem to offer them anymore.

Great socks! If you are around NY, check out Century 21. I have not seen them there in a while but I have in the past. Good Luck.

Ouch - that's a major bummer. Guess I will have to take care of the ones I own. Any recommendations of other brands to try? I have several marcoliani, like the cotton, not so much the wool (too loose). Don't like brooks brothers at all.

Try Nagrani.

CA are my favorite. Sigh. And I'm the one arguing that luxury goods are doing well...

I have a pair of Nagrani and the construction is excellent, however, after 5 wears, there seems to be a hole forming just above the heel and the decorative stitching has already started to unravel. Meanwhile, my GAP socks have been worn 50 times and still have no holes, though they have faded with washings.

^ I haven't had this problem, but Chorse123 has posted that he has had problems like this.
