Not at home to snap comparison photos but they're pretty different. Rain is more of an extended chisel toe while Forest is a rounded toe. I'd tend to consider Rain dressier. I actually think Detroit works pretty well for cap toes, too, if you're not into the chiseled look.

Thanks you for your answer. If you have all three lasts (Rain, Forest, and Detroit), could you please show side by side photo of those three? I would very appreciate it.

@madhat Sineu is only available on the standard EE width for the time being.
Just to be 100% clear, this means that the GMTO unlined shell Cordovan chukka on the Sineu last is in fact only available in EE width? This not something you can choose to change in the GMTO?

Are the Chelsea boots on the Simpson last comparable to SLP Wyatt boots? I compared some pics and they look very similar to me, wasn't sure if anyone had both though... also would the quality be comparable? Trying to find something similar without the extra stacked heel and less than $1k..

The shell chukkas we will launch today as an MTO have a heel counter as well as a very thin toe puff. I couldn't even feel the toe puff and managed to se it had one by using my phone's flashlight. This model features blind eyelets therefore, we added a reinforcement on the inside to avoid any possible scratching. Other than this, you will only find the tongue is lined.

Unfortunately we cannot find any cognac from Horween. should it come back in stock at some point we will let you know.

Our photographers are preparing the outline comparison at the moment, we will release it in this afternoon's newsletter.

Should any of you like to have this MTO in different shades of cordovan, we can create a styleforum GMTO in which you can select the last, soles and the upper including special cordovan colours.

To create this 80728 unlined chukka GMTO for Styleforum, we would need 9 -10 pairs.

Fantastic! Waive of customisation fee for any chukka with choice of upper, sole, and last?

I’m in. Can we get to 9 for this one?

I finally received my Amaretto boots yesterday. Upon opening the package, I was surprised at just how orange Amaretto is in real life, relative to pictures on the web. The next thing that caught my attention was Carmina's workmanship. These are my 3rd pair, all in shell cordovan, and in my experience attention to detail is second to none (Alden, C&J and Alfred Sargent are my comparison points).

Posting a couple of pics to compare these to my equally new Alden NST boots (on Aberdeen) and my Carmina bourbon NST boots (probably my favorite pair of footwear). Both Carmina boots are on Forest but Amarettos are EEE with York sole and storm welt vs EE width, double JR and no storm welt on the bourbons. The Amarettos look like (spectacular) tanks compared to the more elegant and dressy bourbon boots. The one thing I'd probably change if I could redo would be the sole. I think these would look even better with double leather instead of york.

I've already exceeded my shoe purchase goal for the year, but may get a pair of jumper boots if Carmina runs another MTO/customization promotion

All of your NSTs look stellar. Enjoy the new ones! They look fantastic. Can't wait to get mine.

Somehow I've done that as well and still haven't acquired one of my two planned purchases for the year.

Those new boots are beefy and look great!

That makes 2 of us on both accounts. I really like the more prominent stitching on your NSTs. I would LOVE to get a pair in Cognac if it were possible.

Same here ... I'd love a pair of wingtip or jumper boots in Cognac. Even if it's available in very limited quantities, may be Carmina can run a special Styleforum GMTO similar to the Amaretto offering

These are really nice! And I'm excited to add them to my growing Jodhpur collection, gradually filling my shoe rack! Wish I could buy these boots new, but for now, I have to settle for lightly used. As such, they need a very light touching up of a few nicks on the toe and slight scuffing of the sole.

I used Saphir's Teinture Francaise black dye, followed by Renovatrice black cream. Then a focused polishing with Medaille d'Or Pommadier. Pardon my French. I didn't wear gloves, so now I'm wearing the teinture for the foreseeable future.

You know, I was browsing around for pictures of the rusticalf one day, and I kinda realized that I wish this was a men's boot on something sleek like Inca:

How long would we have before deciding on our individual details?
