How much the tip of the shoe come up off the floor when the shoes are sitting flat on the floor, rather than touching the floor like you see in display or bespoke shoes.
It's more common on workwear/heritage lasts, as the rolling from the ball to the toe is supposed to be more comfortable to walk in

Doesn’t look significant to me; the toe box looks roomier.
I've come to appreciate that those last pictures are not always 100% accurate, but also note that the last is not positioned as it would be on a finished shoe; there's no heel attached. This has the effect of making the toe spring difference look minimal in the illustrated orientation.

Funny enough I received tracking info for my order in January today and also my order from the last MTO event. Carmina told me the first order was delayed because they had a hard time getting the amaretto shell.
I think was at the time Horween were way behind. Not sure if that’s eased now.

I want to put out one more feeler on the XIM last sizing in their bit loafers. I have two responses so far with one poster saying the last is a tight fit, another poster saying it was too large. I greatly appreciate the feedback but would like a little more before I make a test purchase. I don't want to have to go through purchase and return. Thanks for any more feedback.

One person said true to size; the other said he bought same exact size as AE and shoe was a half to a full size too big, which makes me think he didn't account for European sizing. You can always ask Carmina their recommendation

Carmina said SOME people order a half size big. What I'm gonna do is order my normal size with a in stock horsebit loafer as a test run. I guess I just have to be patient with this. Once I nail that down, then I can order a custom one, which is my ultimate goal.

One thing about me is my weight goals fluctuate. I have AE shoes that are tight when I'm not watching my weight. When I lose weight, they fit perfect. That makes me believe that I should order my normal size and if its tight, I'm not gonna worry about it since I'm in the process of trying to lose weight again and it will change the fit. If they fit too large, that changes the whole ball game. My goal is to maintain the lower weight now and will adjust accordingly if I have to. I have some oxfords I ordered from Shoe Passion ( Germany). I'm overweight and they fit perfect because they run large. When I lose weight, I'm worried about how they will fit.

My first of two pairs this custom weekend. Basically, I wanted to copy the unlined Alden LHS and do an unlined Pina loafer with 360 degree welt. Carmina confirmed they could do it, but for whatever reason they didn't go through with the 360 degree welt.

On the plus side, I went true-to-size and they fit perfectly. The Tomir sole is thankfully not as thick as in the 3D-customiser. And unlined loafers are awesome and like wearing slippers!
