First Ioana told that shoes be sent to factory for repair. Then Ineke say there is no problem with shoes, and MTO shoes can not be returned.
Well, the color of lighter shades of shell cordovan can vary a lot. That is considered normal. THe only thing that seems to be a real issue to me is the scratches you mentioned. The factory seems to think that there are no scratches.

Do you have pictures of the scratches?

Also, since they offered you a remake then you can get the pair remade with the shade of bourbon you desired. Send them lots of pictures of the color tone you are looking for and they can probably accommodate you.

As said, the colours vary a lot with shell, and if one can't live with that one should problem avoid shell or only buy in person.

Save for outrageous photos... Christ, being a retailer with internet presence these days...

I found out the color (specifically of shell) varies for many reasons including light and age. So, can’t compare with any photos that you see. You need to develop your own patina over time and that what makes every shoe special.
Getting the exact same color of shell as a photo is nearly impossible.

The point is , if you promise your customer get refund, you can not change you mind after a few days.

Unless the customer said something that was not true such as "the shoes have scratches on the shell"
I think that you didn't see the first email from Ioana, she told me my shoes be sent to factory for repair. They will never do it ,if the shoes is no problem. So what is the truth.
