Are they having one soon? I know they did an April MTO weekend event last year, but I assumed that was a one-off and their regular timing for the event is in October which is months away.

I’d think it unlikely. If they’re doing a big shell promo online now it’s not likely a full one so soon after. Last year was unusual with covid etc. Lots of shell available now so if you’re after a specific makeup that’s on now I’d jump. I messaged here and had no joy but the lady that answers the emails was fantastically helpful.

@gr8man I've had them for around 2 years or so but I bought them lightly used some I am not 100% sure how they began life. I also have the impression from discussing this topic with others that more recent armagnac has been a bit darker than my pair and a few others that I have seen posted from production a few years back.

As far this style of shoe goes though, I wouldn't hesitate to grab a pair since the oscar last works very well with this shoe. Much better than the common alternatives from other makers like the alden 990 or ae leeds, for example.

Yes it is. Burgundy vegano leather. This was my first Carmina MTO from a few years ago.

So polite and helpful. Never had a bad experience with her. Always does her best to help when there’s an issue.

Since this came up again this was the response I got from Carmina about the Spring MTO event when they had the loafer weekend: "Hi there- this custom event is specifically focused on loafers. We are unsure of the launch date of the spring one yet. We are happy to answer other questions or concerns for you. Have a lovely day! " I still think they're just delaying the spring mto event out. There's plenty of people who want non-shell custom orders made as well.
