I bought them from the armoury nyc, which is one of their retailers right? That decision was baffling to me. Im gonna request a return for sure, but glad I know I fit in the robert (by extension forest) very well, and the rain with insoles was nice and snug.

Sorry to hear they didn't have them in the bags for some reason, certainly can't blame you for returning them, especially if you paid full price or near to it.

Yeah they were full price, these would be acceptable at a massive discount. they'll go back and ill order some snuff direct, or the forest chukka that is in production

Were they at a steep reduction or something?, they look like in store try ons.

Full price. I requested a return, though if they instead offer a huge (HUGE) discount I might consider keeping.

I’ve been asking Carmina to ship every single pair of shoes with the shoes INSIDE their bags. That’s literally why the bags exist. Honestly no excuse for this.

Agreed. They look fantastic otherwise. A days wear, gentle bath, omnidam and a suede brush should ameliorate most of those issues. Though the boot indentations I’m unsure without seeing closer. No excuse on the no bag situation.

Well, quality issues aside, should I expect some differences in fit between boots/shoes in the same last on different leathers? (Will rain shoes fit tighter in calf than suede? Or will rain derbies/oxfords be significantly different than boots?)

That hasn’t been my experience across all brands I’ve purchased from. Fit is the same regardless of calf or suede.
